At the invitation of the Belarusian Ministry of National Defense, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Honor Guard Brigade has formed an honor guard detachment to participate in the military parade. Belarusian President Lukashenko reviewed the contributions made by the Belarusian military and civilians to the liberation of Belarus in his speech during the military parade. He said that 80 years ago, our grandfather and great grandfather gave us peace, and our generation shoulders the mission of maintaining peace in our motherland. The Honor Guard Brigade of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Honor Guard is composed of 54 people, including 1 flagman, 2 flagguards, 3 team captains, and 48 team members. After the military parade began, as the upright Chinese soldiers walked past the podium with strong and vigorous steps, the people on site spontaneously stood up, applauded and cheered. "In order to meet Belarus' requirements for the speed of the parade procession, the honor guard team arrived in Minsk more than 10 days early for scientific adaptability training." Han Jie, the captain of the Ritual Brigade of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Honor Guard, said, "Chinese honor guards, as messengers of peace, windows of culture, and bridges of friendship, should demonstrate to the world the good image of the Chinese army in the new era with first-class standards and spiritual state." On July 3, 1944, Belarus was liberated from the occupation of German fascism. At the end of 1996, Belarus designated this day as Belarus Independence Day through a nationwide referendum. This year marks the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus, and the military parade is even more grand than before. Soldiers from Belarus, China, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and other countries participated in the parade on that day. China and Belarus are all-weather comprehensive strategic partners. In 2018 and 2019, the People's Liberation Army Honor Guard Detachment was invited twice to Belarus to participate in military parades. Before this mission, the officers and soldiers of the honor guard team specially studied the Belarusian song "We are the Guardians of Our Motherland".
