The first domestic air rail intermodal transportation project has arrived! Shenzhen? It takes 25 minutes to fly in Zhongshan
2024-07-04
The airborne taxi is here! Recently, an Eastern Airlines AW139 helicopter carrying 10 passengers took off from the Shenzhen North Station connecting airport. This is the first "low altitude+rail" air rail intermodal transportation project in China, and the dream of traveling in the Greater Bay Area for one hour by "flying" is getting closer and closer to us. Get off the high-speed rail and board the plane! The 25 minute journey to Zhongshan Shenzhen North Station Hub Airrail Intermodal Transport Project is located at Unit C1 of East Square, with a 314 square meter advanced helipad on site, providing citizens with industry-leading air taxi charter transportation services. This project, with Shenzhen North Station as the hub, complements the advantages of fast and direct helicopter access, as well as the high passenger volume and long-distance transportation capacity of high-speed rail and subway. It realizes the strong alliance of "low altitude+rail" in customized business travel, intercity flight, cross-border flight, connecting connections, and low altitude cultural tourism, bringing new application scenarios and enabling the development of low altitude economy to move towards a broader future. Users only need to place an order online through the "Air Taxi" mini program to achieve precise matching of demand and transportation capacity, and enjoy fast and convenient urban air transportation services such as intra city and intercity connections. With Shenzhen North Station as the takeoff and landing point, they can charter flights to major urban areas in Shenzhen, as well as to other cities in Zhongshan and the Greater Bay Area. Among them, the takeoff and landing point in Zhongshan is located at Tianyi International Plaza, which takes 25 minutes to reach. In addition, the project can also provide aviation emergency rescue services to citizens, breaking through ground traffic restrictions and providing guarantees for urban emergency response. The relevant person in charge of Shenzhen Railway Group stated that the smooth launch of the Shenzhen North Station air rail intermodal transportation project has built a low altitude transportation network connecting the Greater Bay Area with Shenzhen North Station as the center. It is expected to reach more than 90% of the Greater Bay Area within one hour, making the last mile of air rail intermodal passenger travel smoother. "In the future, we will explore the development scenarios of low altitude economic business from multiple perspectives based on the travel needs of passengers and citizens, expand the comprehensive life experience of low altitude, and continue to expand the ecosystem of 'rail+low altitude' application scenarios. In recent years, Shenzhen has continued to increase its low altitude track and layout the Sky City.". At the beginning of this year, Shenzhen introduced the first national low altitude economic legislation, the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Low Altitude Economic Industry Promotion Regulations, actively innovating the low altitude economic development mechanism and expanding the connotation of low altitude economic development. Recently, the Civil Aviation Administration of China officially approved Shenzhen's application, clearly supporting the construction of a national low altitude economic industry comprehensive demonstration zone in Shenzhen, and taking the lead in the low altitude field. At present, Shenzhen is further improving its industrial development service system, carrying out pilot projects for urban low altitude transportation, and accelerating its pace in enriching and expanding low altitude application scenarios, strengthening low altitude service infrastructure construction, and other fields. Zhongshan is also actively exploring and practicing in the field of low altitude economy. This year, the work report of the People's Government of Zhongshan City proposed to plan the layout of low altitude flight traffic mode across the Pearl River estuary. Subsequently, the "Deep to Medium Air Passage" - the first cross sea low altitude logistics commercial route in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area - was launched first; The Zhongshan Low Altitude Economic Industry Association has unveiled its plaque, and the Shenzhen Zhongshan Low Altitude Economic Industry Alliance has been established. The recently issued Action Plan for Deepening the Integration of Shenzhen Zhongshan Planning (2024-2025) proposes that Shenzhen and China jointly carry out research on cross river low altitude flight networks and recent operational demonstration plans, plan low altitude flight route networks, and lay out low altitude flight support infrastructure. In terms of planning and docking in key areas, Shenzhen will conduct research on the construction strategy of national level aviation economic demonstration zones, strengthen cross regional multimodal cooperation in the aviation logistics industry, jointly develop intelligent manufacturing in aviation, and enhance the aviation service industry; Zhongshan will carry out a comprehensive transportation key special plan, systematically build an integrated comprehensive transportation pattern and urban rail transit network that is coordinated with regional pattern, urban space, and industrial layout; Shenzhen and Zhongshan promote the promotion of the style of the gateway area around the Pearl River Estuary in Shenzhen and China, create a memorable and symbolic style node, and promote the urban design of key areas such as Qianhai and Cuiheng New Area at a high level, so as to jointly shape the image of the gateway hub of the Dynamic Bay Area. In the future, with the accelerated deployment of leading low altitude economic enterprises and low latency, high bandwidth communication operators on low altitude communication networks, as well as the large-scale commercial use of eVTOL (Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing Manned Aerial Vehicle), the cost of low altitude travel will be further reduced, becoming a normalized choice for daily travel of citizens in the Greater Bay Area.
