Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, led the Law Enforcement Inspection Team of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress to conduct a law enforcement inspection on the protection of the Yellow River in Shanxi from June 30 to July 2. The law enforcement inspection team listened to a report on the implementation of the Yellow River Protection Law by the Shanxi Provincial Government in Taiyuan and conducted on-site inspections in Yuncheng and Linfen. In Wanrong County and Hejin City of Yuncheng City, investigate the ecological protection and management of the Yellow River Basin and the water quality of the Fen River entering the Yellow River, and understand the progress of the Yellow River ecological corridor construction and the restoration of the Lvliang Mountain. Go to Ji County and Hongdong County in Linfen City to inspect flood control and industrial water pollution prevention and control work, understand the construction project of Guxian Water Conservancy Hub, and investigate the protection, inheritance, and promotion of Yellow River culture. To effectively improve political standing, strictly implement legal provisions, fully fulfill legal responsibilities, strengthen supervision and law enforcement work, and seriously investigate and punish illegal activities. We need to highlight problem orientation, explore and innovate specific measures for implementing laws according to local conditions, promote ecological protection and restoration, pollution prevention and control, water resource conservation and intensive utilization, water and sediment regulation in the Yellow River Basin, strengthen the protection and inheritance of the Yellow River's historical and cultural heritage and red culture, and continuously improve the level of high-quality development. Under the leadership of the Party Committee, we should strengthen the coordination of local legislation, law enforcement, judiciary, and legal education, build an efficient mechanism for implementing the law, and form a joint force of the rule of law.
