With the continuous consolidation of China's positive trend in foreign trade and the continuous growth of exports of independent brand products, many domestic trendy brands have gained popularity in overseas markets with their strength. According to information recently released by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Chinese brands are currently spread across more than 200 countries and regions worldwide, with 48 Chinese brands entering the "Fortune Global 500". Brands play a significant role in enhancing the added value of exported products. "Brand is a comprehensive reflection of the competitiveness of enterprises and even countries, and an important resource for winning the market," said Zhao Ping, spokesperson for the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, at a routine press conference held recently. It is reported that since 2018, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade has been committed to providing brand evaluation services for Chinese export goods, using an innovative model of "standardization+commercial certification+trade promotion" to help export-oriented enterprises build their brands and further enhance their international market competitiveness. Recently, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has released the "CCPIT Export Commodity Brand Certification Directory (2022-2023)" based on the group standards of the "China Export Commodity Brand Evaluation Specification", which evaluates and screens from multiple dimensions such as research and development innovation, international certification, intellectual property protection, market recognition, enterprise credit, and global operation. A total of 574 export commodity brands have been recorded. The evaluation results show that compared to 2022, the average score of export commodity certification brands in comprehensive evaluation increased by 3.1 points in 2023, reaching 93.4 points. In terms of research and development innovation, the proportion of enterprises that received full marks in the evaluation increased from 76% to 78%; In terms of international certification, the proportion of enterprises that receive full marks has increased from 54% to 75%; In terms of corporate credit system, the proportion of enterprises that received full marks in the evaluation increased from 71% to 78%. "This indicates that the comprehensive strength of China's export commodity brands is constantly increasing, and the brand influence is increasingly enhancing." Zhao Ping said that the next step will continue to improve the network and system of China's export commodity brand evaluation services, help more Chinese foreign trade enterprises polish their "golden signboards", and help promote the acceleration of China's brand competitiveness. According to the data released at the meeting, in May this year, the national trade promotion system issued a total of 568300 certificates of origin, ATA documents, commercial certificates, and other types of certificates, an increase of 13.64% compared to the previous year. This indicates that foreign trade imports and exports continue to show a steady upward trend, and also demonstrates the strong resilience and vitality of China's foreign trade. The total amount of RCEP origin certificate visas in the national trade promotion system was 523 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 3.04%; The number of visas was 18677, a year-on-year increase of 24.43%; The export destination countries include 12 member countries including Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam, etc. "This indicates that with the one-year anniversary of the full implementation of RCEP, policy dividends are constantly being released, and more and more foreign trade enterprises are enjoying benefits such as tariff reduction, simplified customs clearance, and facilitation of trade and investment."
