"In the past six months, I have been traveling from abroad to Zhuhai to visit my family. I usually fly from San Francisco to Hong Kong, and then return to Zhuhai via the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge. The travel experience has always been great!" Mr. Zeng, a passenger of "Flying through Zhuhai Hong Kong", shared excitedly. The policy of "flying through Zhuhai and Hong Kong" began to be implemented in mid December last year. As of June 12th this year, half a year has passed. According to customs statistics of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, more than 20000 people have successfully cleared customs at the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge under the new mode of "flying through Zhuhai and Hong Kong". Through the innovative model of "flying through Zhuhai and Hong Kong", transit passengers who transfer through the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge to Hong Kong International Airport can enjoy a seamless connection service of "air land air". At the Zhuhai Port Travel Inspection and Exit Hall at the Zhuhai Highway Port of the Hong Kong Zhuhai Macao Bridge, passengers only need to go through the joint inspection of customs and security with "one machine, two screens, and one pass" to complete the customs clearance procedures. The Airport Center is the world's first cross-border sea air intermodal transportation project that directly connects to the airside of an airport. At present, the Airport Center has attracted three major cargo terminals and 105 freight forwarders from Hong Kong Airport, and 24 airlines have recognized the security checks at the Airport Center, further consolidating and enhancing Hong Kong's position as an international aviation hub. According to statistics from Huangpu Customs, as of June 19th, goods exported through the airport center can fly to 220 countries and regions around the world, as well as 98 overseas airports. 544 enterprises have conducted import and export business through the airport center, expanding the variety of imported and exported goods to 627, and the value of imported and exported goods has exceeded 5 billion yuan, including new types of goods such as general trade goods, bonded goods, and cross-border e-commerce. As cross-border travel between residents of Shenzhen and Hong Kong becomes more convenient, the passenger flow at Liantang Port, the youngest land port between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, is gradually increasing. Since the opening of the port travel inspection function on February 6, 2023, Liantang Port has broken the record for daily passenger flow eight times and has become one of the most popular customs clearance ports for residents of Shenzhen and Hong Kong. According to Shenzhen Customs statistics, this year's passenger flow at Shenzhen Port has exceeded 100 million, three months ahead of 2023. During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, the clearance volume of residents in Shenzhen and Hong Kong reached a new high, with a maximum daily entry and exit of nearly 900000 people. From June 8th to 9th, the historical record since the resumption of clearance was broken for two consecutive days, fully reflecting the good trend of accelerated integration and development in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
