On the morning of June 19th, with the completion of a pair of 500 meter long tracks, it marked the successful laying of the entire Guangqing Intercity North Extension Line track. The ballastless track of the Guangqing Intercity North Extension Line is 39.9 kilometers long, with a maximum longitudinal slope of 20 ‰ and a minimum curve radius of 505 meters. It is constructed using the direct laying method. According to the construction plan, after completing the track laying work, the entire line will be welded and scattered by the end of July. In September, the line will undergo joint debugging and static acceptance, and it will be fully completed by the end of December. In addition, the 10kV distribution substation of Qingyuan East Station on the Guangqing Intercity North Extension Line has also successfully delivered power in one go recently, laying a solid foundation for the debugging of various professional equipment such as communication and signal at Qingyuan East Station. At present, the exterior facades of three new stations along the Guangqing Intercity North Extension Line, including Provincial Vocational Education City Station, Qingyuan East Station, and Yanhu New City Station, have been exposed. The decoration project of the new car station has entered the final construction stage, and after completion, it can be handed over to the owner unit for various testing and operation before opening to traffic. The Guangqing Intercity North Extension Line is a key construction project of the province and city in 2024. It starts from the Guangqing Intercity Qingcheng Station and ends at the Provincial Vocational Education City Station. The main line has a total length of about 19.7 kilometers and three new stations have been built throughout the section, including two elevated stations and one semi underground station. After the completion and opening of the entire Guangzhou Qingdao intercity railway, it is expected to take only over 40 minutes from the downtown area of Qingyuan to the central urban area of Guangzhou.
