On June 18th, the "Opportunity Bay Area" Guangdong themed interview activity came to the Hengqin Guangdong Macao Deep Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as the "Cooperation Zone"). During the event, Huang Yujie, Director of the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Cooperation Zone, revealed that the Cooperation Zone is about to introduce new policies, allowing foreign domestic workers hired by Macau residents to provide domestic services in the Cooperation Zone. Huang Yujie stated that this policy was implemented with the strong support of the National Immigration Administration, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, and other relevant departments. The Bureau of Livelihood Affairs, the Bureau of Financial Development, and the Public Security Department of the Cooperation Zone collaborated with the Macao Labor Bureau, the Macao Public Security Police Bureau, and others to promote its implementation. After the policy is introduced, the Livelihood Affairs Bureau of the Cooperation Zone will begin to accept applications from Macau residents of "Macau New Neighborhood" to provide services with foreign domestic service personnel in "Macau New Neighborhood". Huang Yujie also stated that Macau residents who meet the conditions and bring foreign domestic workers to provide services in "Macau New Neighborhood" need to apply for a residence permit in accordance with relevant regulations, and the specific time will be subject to the announcement by the public security department. Hengqin "Macau New Neighborhood" is an important engineering project that promotes the deepening of Guangdong Macao cooperation. It is the first comprehensive livelihood project specifically designed for Macau residents in mainland China, integrating residential, commercial, educational, medical, and elderly care. As of May 28, about 1200 units have been sold, and many homeowners have moved in one after another. This project will extend the standard public services in Macau, connect social welfare facilities in Macau, create a livable living environment that is similar to Macau, and help more Macau residents integrate into the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area.
