The 26th Chairman's Meeting of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee was held on the afternoon of the 17th at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Chairman Zhao Leji presided over the meeting. The meeting decided to hold the 10th meeting of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee from June 25th to 28th in Beijing. The Chairman's Meeting recommended that the 10th meeting of the 14th National People's Congress Standing Committee review the draft of the Emergency Response Management Law, the draft of the Rural Collective Economic Organization Law, the revised draft of the Frontier Health and Quarantine Law, the revised draft of the Accounting Law, the draft of the Financial Stability Law, the draft of the Preschool Education Law, the revised draft of the Public Security Administration Punishment Law, the revised draft of the Cultural Relics Protection Law, and the revised draft of the Mineral Resources Law; Deliberating the draft decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on authorizing the State Council to temporarily adjust the application of relevant provisions of the Food Safety Law of the People's Republic of China in Hainan Free Trade Port; Deliberate the proposal of the State Council to submit for review and approval the amendment to Annex A of the Minamata Convention on Mercury by Decision 4/3 of the Fourth Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Minamata Convention on Mercury, and the proposal to submit for review and approval the Treaty on the Transfer of Water between the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Panama. The agenda for the 10th meeting of the Standing Committee recommended by the Chairman's Meeting includes: reviewing the report of the State Council on the 2023 central accounts, reviewing and approving the 2023 central accounts; Deliberate the audit work report of the State Council on the execution of the central budget and other fiscal revenues and expenditures for the year 2023; Deliberating the report of the State Council on promoting the development of the private economy; Deliberate the report of the Qualification Review Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress on the qualifications of individual representatives; Deliberate relevant appointment and removal cases, etc. At the Chairman's Meeting, Liu Qi, Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, reported on the draft agenda and schedule of the 10th meeting of the Standing Committee. The Deputy Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the heads of the relevant special committees and working committees of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, gave reports on relevant issues. Vice Chairmen of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Li Hongzhong, Wang Dongming, Ding Zhongli, Hao Mingjin, Cai Dafeng, He Wei, Wu Weihua, Tie Ning, Peng Qinghua, Zhang Qingwei, Luosangjiang Village, and Xuekelaiti Zaker, attended the meeting.
