On the 14th, the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, and the Macao Special Administrative Region Government signed the "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Emergency Management Cooperation Jinan Bay Area Emergency Rescue Action Cooperation Framework Agreement" in Hong Kong, strengthening cooperation and exchange between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao in emergency management and rescue. The cooperation framework agreement aims to build a government led, professional emergency rescue team as the main body, and action centered emergency rescue cooperation system, strengthen the emergency rescue capabilities of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, and respond to unexpected events such as accidents, disasters, and natural disasters that affect the Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao region. It is reported that the governments of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao are jointly formulating a new "Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Emergency Rescue Action Plan" that covers cities in the Greater Bay Area, including mechanisms for technology and knowledge exchange, resource sharing, and emergency mobilization and coordination, to promote the overall improvement of emergency management work and achieve effective utilization and reasonable sharing of emergency rescue resources, effectively improving cross-border rescue efficiency. The Guangdong Hong Kong Macao government expects to establish a special team for emergency management cooperation and coordination between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao within this year, and hold the first special team meeting.
