Let intangible cultural heritage shine with more charming brilliance
2024-06-14
The protection of intangible cultural heritage in China mainly revolves around the inheritance group, not only paying attention to their inheritance status, but also considering their long-term development; Not only should we pay attention to their material needs, but we should also provide more spiritual support and recognition for this year's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day. The China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum has launched the "China Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Practice Theme Exhibition", fully showcasing the good situation of intangible cultural heritage protection and inheritance since the new era. National leaders emphasized the need to strengthen the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage, actively cultivate inheritors, and let intangible cultural heritage shine with more charming brilliance. China actively carries out intangible cultural heritage protection practices and continuously explores the path of intangible cultural heritage protection with Chinese characteristics. The protection of intangible cultural heritage in China mainly revolves around the inheritance group, not only paying attention to their inheritance status, but also considering their long-term development; Not only should we pay attention to their material needs, but we should also provide more support and affirmation in terms of spirit. Since the implementation of the "China Intangible Cultural Heritage Inheritance Group Training and Training Program" in 2015, more than 1330 sessions of various types of training, workshops, and training have been held, with 149 universities participating and over 100000 people participating in the training. Some provinces, regions, and cities have also carried out local research and training on intangible cultural heritage. The students of these research and training programs have played an important role in poverty alleviation. This is a vivid microcosm of the major national strategy for intangible cultural heritage services. In recent years, through the construction of intangible cultural heritage workshops, the training of intangible cultural heritage inheritors, and the unblocking of sales channels, many practices have achieved fruitful results, which has led to the employment of millions of people in total, and many representative inheritors of intangible cultural heritage projects have been rated as "exemplary individual in poverty alleviation nationwide". At present, there are over 6700 intangible cultural heritage workshops in various regions, of which more than 2100 are located in poverty-stricken areas, covering many key counties for national rural revitalization assistance, and playing a positive role in promoting comprehensive rural revitalization. By improving the representative list system of intangible cultural heritage projects, the enthusiasm for protecting intangible cultural heritage at the grassroots level has been fully stimulated. The recognition of representative intangible cultural heritage projects within this administrative region reflects the characteristics of local history, culture, and natural environment, as well as the importance and respect for the creativity of the local people. Local governments at all levels identify representative intangible cultural heritage projects within their administrative regions, improve their visibility, and continuously increase support for the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage projects. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the central government has increased financial support for national intangible cultural heritage projects, and various regions have also arranged funding support for intangible cultural heritage projects. At present, there are more than 100000 representative projects of intangible cultural heritage at all levels in China, including 1557 national level representative projects of intangible cultural heritage. The sound and perfect national, provincial, municipal, and county level intangible cultural heritage list system provides strong guarantees for the protection and inheritance of intangible cultural heritage. The national level intangible cultural heritage projects in Beijing, Hebei, and Zhejiang provinces have 539 sub projects. In the recent pilot survey of four level intangible cultural heritage projects carried out by relevant departments, these three provinces have more than 30000 four level intangible cultural heritage projects. We can see that in the daily dissemination and exhibition activities of intangible cultural heritage held in local areas, the main force is more represented by inheritors of county-level intangible cultural heritage projects. They are closely related to the local people's lives and very down-to-earth, which can stimulate people's enthusiasm and willingness to participate. The protection of intangible cultural heritage and the protection of the natural environment are interdependent and coordinated to promote each other. For example, the inclusion of "Chinese traditional tea making techniques and related customs" in the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity has driven the protection and development of tea related intangible cultural heritage projects. Cultural and ecological protection has become a concept and method for the protection of intangible cultural heritage. The Ministry of Culture and Tourism has continuously promoted the construction of national cultural and ecological protection zones, further strengthening the implementation of local government's main responsibilities. Taking the Northern Shaanxi Cultural and Ecological Protection Zone (Yulin) as an example, Yulin City has carried out the construction of cultural and ecological protection zone in depth for many years, and a large number of inheritance teams of intangible cultural heritage projects such as folk songs, yangko, Paper Cuttings in northern Shaanxi have been expanding. In 2024, the "Celebrating the New Year in the Ancient City" event held a national yangko performance, with dozens of local and local yangko teams from Yulin performing in the ancient city for 12 consecutive days, with a maximum of nearly 150000 people watching live every day. In recent years, the display of intangible cultural heritage has also been upgraded and improved. The China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum opened in February 2022, followed by the Grand Canal Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Hall, Zhejiang Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum, and Guangdong Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum. The Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum has become a new place for people to understand, experience, and inherit intangible cultural heritage. Currently, under the premise of effective protection, how to promote the integration of intangible cultural heritage and tourism on a wider scope, deeper level, and higher level is an important issue. We need to further encourage inheritors of intangible cultural heritage to integrate it into tourism spaces, making it an important option to enrich tourism products. In the development of tourism, it is necessary to respect the form and connotation of intangible cultural heritage, protect the inheritance environment and space of intangible cultural heritage, and promote the long-term protection and sustainable utilization of intangible cultural heritage.
