In recent years, with the acceleration of the construction process of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, various policies and measures have been introduced to promote Hong Kong youth's education, employment, and entrepreneurship in mainland China, greatly mobilizing the enthusiasm of Hong Kong youth to participate in national development and construction. To further promote talent exchange within the Greater Bay Area and provide opportunities for Hong Kong youth to understand the achievements of China's development, the Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and the Youth Development Committee jointly launched the "Mainland Internship Program for Hong Kong University Students 2024-25". As an important part of it, the "Art Aviation Guangzhou, Creative Sailing" themed internship program (referred to as the "internship program") is sponsored by the Art Aviation Cultural Promotion Association, supported by the International Youth Entrepreneurship Society and Lingnan University (Hong Kong), and the "Outlook New Era" magazine (referred to as "Le Xin Society") as a strategic cooperative media. To encourage Hong Kong youth to showcase their talents on a larger stage, recently, the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Li Jiachao, personally wrote an inscription - "Equal Pay for Master's Aspiration, Joining the Way", sending the most sincere blessings to the internship program and participating students. On the evening of June 7th, the "Art Aviation Guangzhou, Creative Sailing" Hong Kong University Internship Plan 2024-25 "Bay Area Hong Kong Youth Internship Exchange Conference and Welcome Dinner was held in Guangzhou. Representatives from the Guangdong Economic and Trade Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, the Guangdong Liaison Department of the Hong Kong Liaison Office, the Counselor's Office of the Guangdong Provincial People's Government, the United Front Work Department of the Guangzhou Municipal Committee, the Nansha District Federation of Overseas Chinese in Guangzhou, Lingnan University (Hong Kong), Lixin Society, International Youth Entrepreneurship Society, Art and Aviation Cultural Promotion Association, as well as representatives from various internship receiving units and Hong Kong university students participating in this internship program, participated in this event. During his welcoming speech, Chen Gangwen, Vice Chairman of the International Youth Entrepreneurship Society, General Secretary of the Art and Aviation Cultural Promotion Association, and Chairman of the Event Organizing Committee, pointed out that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government attaches great importance to the development of Hong Kong youth and is committed to providing a favorable environment for Hong Kong youth. This year, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's Home Affairs and Youth Affairs Bureau has released over 160 blueprint plans related to youth. During these 5 years, the connections between cities in the Greater Bay Area have continued to strengthen, further facilitating Hong Kong youth to seek development opportunities in the Greater Bay Area. I hope that students can continue to broaden their horizons and seek opportunities through this internship and life experience in Guangzhou. "Serving Hong Kong students and youth is a key focus of the Guangdong Office. In the future, we will continue to provide support and assistance to Hong Kong students and youth according to their actual needs." The students participating in this internship program will intern at several well-known companies in Guangzhou from June to July.
