On June 6th, the launch ceremony for the revitalization and utilization of cultural relics at Yongtong Bridge (Bali Bridge) and the 10th anniversary of the application for World Heritage of the Jinan Grand Canal was held at Yongtong Bridge in Guanzhuang Township, Chaoyang District, Beijing. Beijing Chaoyang has completed the repair of Yongtong Bridge and officially opened it to the public. Yongtong Bridge, also known as Bali Bridge, is known as the "Three Great Bridges of Gongwei Capital" along with Lugou Bridge and Chaozong Bridge. This bridge was first built in 1446 and is named after its eastern distance from Baihua Li in Tongzhou. It is the most well preserved and exquisitely shaped stone bridge in the Beijing section of the Grand Canal. In accordance with the requirements of the National Cutural Heritage Administration and the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Cultural Heritage on the overall repair plan of Yongtong Bridge, Chaoyang District of Beijing started the repair project of Yongtong Bridge in 2021, and completed the repair project of Yongtong Bridge in 2023, restoring the historical style of the ancient bridge.
