On June 5th, Wang Chen, President of the China Law Society, attended a seminar on accelerating the construction of a rule of law society in Beijing and delivered a speech. Wang Chen pointed out that it is necessary to fully understand the profound connotation and significant significance of accelerating the construction of a rule of law society, and strive to make respecting the law, abiding by the law, and using the law a prevailing trend in the whole society. The Law Society should effectively fulfill its responsibilities, fully leverage the role of the rule of law think tank, rely on platforms such as legislative expert consultation meetings, actively serve legislation in important fields of society, focus on cutting-edge issues in the construction of a rule of law society, new problems encountered in practice, and urgent and difficult problems that the people are looking forward to, conduct in-depth investigations and research, propose new concepts, new ideas, and new methods to truly solve problems from the perspective of the rule of law, and serve scientific decision-making and rule of law practice. We should fully leverage the advantages of the Law Society, which has a broad foundation, extensive contacts, and a gathering of talents, actively participate in the construction of the public legal service system, and carry out various forms of legal services such as legal consultation and training, continuously enhancing the people's sense of gain, happiness, and security in the rule of law. We must adhere to and develop the "Fengqiao Experience" of the new era, fully leverage the role of grassroots service stations and chief legal consulting experts of the Law Society, actively carry out social governance work such as legal consulting services and conflict prevention and resolution, help improve the level of conflict prevention and resolution and the legalization of petition work, and better serve the construction of a higher level of safe China and a rule of law China.
