The European Union's climate monitoring agency, the Copernicus Climate Change Service, also released a report on the 5th, stating that the world has just experienced the hottest May on record, and the average monthly temperature has reached the highest level in the same period for 12 consecutive months. Data shows that in May this year, the global average temperature was 1.52 degrees Celsius higher than pre industrial levels. The Paris Agreement proposes that by the end of this century, the increase in global average temperature compared to pre industrial levels should be controlled within 2 degrees Celsius, and efforts should be made to control warming within 1.5 degrees Celsius.
