On the afternoon of the 1st, the launch ceremony of the C919 program to support the "Shanghai Hong Kong Joint Gathering in Shanghai" Hong Kong Youth Student Internship Program was held at Hong Kong International Airport. 120 Hong Kong university students boarded their first cross-border commercial charter flight on the domestically produced C919 aircraft and traveled from Hong Kong to Shanghai for a 7-week internship. The Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Chen Guoji, delivered a speech stating that in December last year, two domestically produced aircraft, the C919 and ARJ21, came to Hong Kong for the first time with the support of the government, sparking an aviation boom. Today, C919 is returning to Hong Kong, carrying Hong Kong youth to Shanghai to experience mainland workplace life and gain firsthand understanding of the national conditions and development. It is understood that China Eastern Airlines Flight MU7192, responsible for operating this charter flight, successfully arrived at Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport at around 4:00 pm on the same day. The airport welcomed young Hong Kong students arriving in Shanghai with a grand "water gate" ceremony. The "Shanghai Hong Kong Joint Meeting Shanghai" Hong Kong Youth Student Internship Program has been held for 15 consecutive sessions, leading Hong Kong university students to conduct 6-8 weeks of internships each year, helping Hong Kong youth deepen their understanding of the mainland, experience cultural integration, and broaden their horizons. This year's internship program is funded by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government's "Youth Internship Assistance Program for Mainland China", organized by the Shanghai Hong Kong Association of Societies and the Shanghai Hong Kong Youth Association. It is planned to launch nearly a thousand internship positions, attracting over 1500 young people to participate, and ultimately more than 500 people will receive internship opportunities in Shanghai.
