Paintings meet for a century, and the strokes and ink work together for sixty years. On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, the "Encounter under the Brush - Sino French Cultural Journey" art exhibition, hosted by the Guangzhou Education Bureau, recently opened grandly in Shamian, Guangzhou. The art exhibition focuses on the friendship between China and France, focusing on the artistic creations of young students from both China and abroad. Through wonderful works of youth art, it showcases the unique charm of cultural exchange and collision between China and France. We hope that China and France can continue to consolidate their traditional friendship, enhance political mutual trust, consolidate strategic consensus, deepen exchanges and cooperation in various fields, use the torch of history to illuminate the way forward, create a better future for China France relations, and make new contributions to world peace, stability, and development. The "Encounter under the Brush - Sino French Cultural Journey" art exhibition is a vivid example of China and France continuously strengthening cultural and educational exchanges and promoting friendly exchanges between the two peoples. The opening ceremony of the event kicked off with the melodious singing of the choir from Guangzhou Art High School. Subsequently, Li Changgeng, a first level researcher under the Guangzhou Municipal Education Bureau, delivered a speech. He stated that in recent years, cultural exchanges between China and France have maintained a high level of operation, and there has been close cooperation in the field of education, achieving a series of fruitful results. This art exhibition is held against the backdrop of further deepening cultural exchanges between China and France, telling stories of friendly exchanges between China and France, and encouraging young people to become inheritors of Sino French friendship. He sincerely hopes that through this event, we can further promote deep cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and France, promote cultural exchanges and mutual learning between China and foreign countries, and make new contributions to building a community with a shared future for mankind. Li Changgeng, a first level researcher under the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, delivered a speech at the event, including Olivier Ngo, Consul General of the French Consulate General in Guangzhou for Science and Technology and Higher Education, Clara Herb, a science and technology project officer, Li Jinjun, Director of the Exchange and Cooperation Department of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, representatives from government departments such as the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education and the Guangzhou Foreign Affairs Office, as well as several figures from the education and cultural arts sectors. Ao Liwei (fourth from left), Consul General of the French Consulate General in Guangzhou for Science and Technology and Higher Education, Li Jinjun (third from left), Director of the Exchange and Cooperation Department of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Education, and Li Changgeng (fourth from right), a first level researcher of the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education, presented a variety of works in this art exhibition, covering various art forms such as sketching, traditional Chinese painting, watercolor, and marker painting. They also exhibited works created using comprehensive materials - presenting unique artistic effects through the collision and fusion of different materials such as drip glue and clay. At the art exhibition, young creators enthusiastically introduce their inspiration sources, creative processes, and expressed meanings to the audience in front of their respective works. Whether it's delicate sketches, charming traditional Chinese paintings, colorful watercolor paintings, or highly creative marker pen paintings, they all leave the audience in awe. The audience expressed that these works not only present the unique charm and integration of Chinese and French cultures, but also convey the profound friendship, vitality, and innovative spirit of young people from both China and abroad. The guest is visiting an art exhibition. Tara from the United States is engaged in primary education in Guangzhou. She said that this art exhibition is a good place to showcase cultural exchange and artistic integration. She was also moved by her classmates' courage to showcase creative vitality and enthusiasm for art. She believes that through artistic works, people can cross national borders and gain a deeper understanding of the connotations of different cultures. This kind of cultural exchange and collision helps to enhance understanding and respect among people of all countries. Tara from the United States and Marylise Hebrard, a law PhD from France, have been in China for over 20 years. She is very surprised by the high quality of these young works and even showed her favorite painting to Xinhua News Agency reporters - "Cultural Integration". This work cleverly blends traditional Chinese and French character images, showcasing the cultural collision and long-standing friendship between China and France. She believes that young people are an important force in promoting cultural exchange and cooperation between the two countries. Their active participation adds rich and bright colors to the culture of China and France, which can better promote mutual understanding between the two peoples. The cultural exchange between Xi Feng (Part 1) from France and her beloved work "Cultural Integration" (Part 2) has always played an indispensable role in the friendship between China and France. The youthful encounter under the brush - a cultural journey between China and France - allows more people to have a deep and emotional understanding of Sino French culture, Sino French relations, and Sino French friendship, showcasing the energy and style of the younger generation on the international stage today. With the promotion of multiple global activities celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, the exchanges between the two countries will become closer, and the cooperation and friendship between the two countries will continue to burst with new vitality!
