Li Qiang pointed out that the development of China and Japan is an important opportunity for each other. The economy between China and Japan has formed a situation of mutual benefit, bringing tangible benefits to the people of both countries. The complementary advantages of China and Japan's economies will exist for a long time, and there is still enormous potential for cooperation in areas such as technological innovation, digital economy, green development, and exploring third-party markets. Both sides should achieve mutual success and jointly maintain the stability and smoothness of the industrial and supply chains, as well as the global free trade system. China is willing to continue to carry out friendly exchanges with Japan in multiple fields, channels, and levels, further facilitate personnel exchanges, actively carry out youth exchanges, and continuously consolidate the public opinion foundation of China Japan friendly cooperation.
Li Qiang stated that the issue of Japan's Fukushima nuclear contaminated water discharge into the sea is related to the health of all mankind, the global marine environment, and the international public interest. China is a major stakeholder, and the Chinese government and people are highly concerned about this. We hope that Japan will further demonstrate sincerity and constructive attitude towards long-term international monitoring arrangements and other issues, seriously address legitimate and reasonable concerns at home and abroad, and effectively fulfill its own responsibilities and obligations.
Fumio Kishida stated that maintaining a positive development momentum in Japan China relations is not only beneficial to both countries, but also to the world. Japan is willing to work with China to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, maintain high-level exchanges, strengthen cooperation in areas such as green economy, healthcare, and third-party markets, facilitate personnel exchanges, deepen regional cooperation, jointly address global issues such as climate change, actively build constructive and stable Japan China relations, comprehensively promote Japan China strategic reciprocity, and promote stable and far-reaching bilateral relations.
Both sides agree to strengthen dialogue and communication at all levels, timely convene a new round of China Japan Economic High Level Dialogue and a high-level mechanism for cultural exchange and consultation, continue to promote consultations and dialogue on the issue of Fukushima nuclear contaminated water discharge into the sea on the basis of existing progress, and maintain communication and coordination on international and regional affairs.
Both sides also exchanged views on international and regional issues of common concern.
