According to the WeChat official account of the National Migration Administration, since February 1, the special action jointly launched by the mainland, Hong Kong and Macao law enforcement authorities to crack down on illegal immigration at the border between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao has cracked 109 cases of illegal immigration, cracked 27 criminal gangs, captured 780 suspect of various kinds, including 175 "snake heads" organizers, severely cracked down on illegal immigration activities at the border between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, and effectively maintained the security and stability of the border between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. Since the operation, law enforcement agencies from the mainland and Hong Kong and Macao have jointly cracked down on 101 cases of illegal immigration in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao waters, dismantled 7 criminal gangs that organized the transportation of illegal immigrants to the Hong Kong Macao region by sea, arrested 175 organizers of "snake heads", and seized 371 illegal immigrants; Eight cases of selling exit and entry certificates were solved, 41 illegal intermediaries were investigated and dealt with, 20 criminal gangs selling exit and entry certificates were eliminated, 52 suspect selling exit and entry certificates were arrested, and 182 persons involved were arrested. During the special operation, border inspection stations in Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and other areas lawfully blocked 92 individuals attempting to transfer from mainland ports to Hong Kong and Macau after entering the country; Guangdong public security organs have conducted in-depth inspections of over 2000 risk hazards at the grassroots level, including communities, ports, docks, and maritime enterprises, and have inspected over 9600 key units and places; Hong Kong law enforcement agencies have investigated 1416 places where illegal migrant workers are hired, arrested 120 foreign nationals who are not in Hong Kong, and repatriated 22 illegal immigrants; Law enforcement agencies in Macau have reviewed 1363 key personnel entering and exiting the country at ports, and repatriated 58 illegal immigrants. It is understood that since 2023, illegal entry and exit activities at the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao border have become more active, with criminal gangs colluding with each other both domestically and internationally, organizing personnel to illegally cross the Hong Kong Macao region through the mainland, causing serious harm. The Exit and Entry Administration of the People's Republic of China has deployed public security exit and entry management departments and border inspection agencies in Guangdong and other regions, in conjunction with relevant law enforcement departments in mainland China such as maritime police and coastal defense, and with the Hong Kong Immigration Department, Hong Kong Police Force, Macao Police Department, Macao Customs, Macao Public Security Police Bureau, and Macao Judicial Police Bureau, to strengthen clue reporting and personnel verification, closely cooperate and cooperate, and simultaneously carry out social investigations, joint case investigations, arrest and pursuit, port border interception, and border sea area patrol and control, to jointly carry out special operations to combat illegal immigration at the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao border.
