He stressed that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China mapped out a grand blueprint for building a socialist modern country in an all-round way, and established the central task of comprehensively promoting the construction of a powerful country and national rejuvenation with Chinese path to modernization. To further deepen reform in an all-round way, we need to focus on the theme of promoting Chinese path to modernization, highlight the reform focus, hold the value orientation, and stress ways and means, so as to add impetus to the completion of central tasks and the realization of strategic goals.
Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and Cai Qi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the Central Committee, attended the symposium.
At the symposium, nine representatives from enterprises and experts, including Liu Mingsheng, Chairman and Party Secretary of State Power Investment Group Co., Ltd., Zuo Ding, Chairman and Party Secretary of Shenzhen Innovation Investment Group Co., Ltd., Ding Shizhong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Anta Sports Goods Group Co., Ltd., Xu Guanju, Chairman of Zhejiang Chuanhua Group Co., Ltd., Xu Daquan, President of Bosch (China) Investment Co., Ltd., Feng Guojing, Chairman of Hong Kong Feng Group, Zhou Qiren, Professor of the National Development Research Institute at Peking University, Huang Hanquan, Dean of the Chinese Academy of Macroeconomics, and Zhang Bin, Deputy Director of the Institute of World Economy and Politics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, delivered speeches on deepening the power system reform, developing venture capital, and upgrading traditional industries through technological transformation. Establishing a sound governance system for private enterprises, optimizing the business environment for foreign-funded enterprises Suggestions were put forward to promote Hong Kong's better integration into the new development pattern, enhance the people's sense of reform, promote urban-rural integration development, and improve the macroeconomic governance system.
He stated that the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China has made significant decisions and formulated important documents, conducted in-depth research and widely listened to opinions from all parties, which is the consistent practice and excellent tradition of our party. The opinions and suggestions put forward by everyone for further comprehensive deepening of reform should be carefully studied and absorbed by relevant parties.
To further deepen the reform comprehensively, we should anchor the general goal of improving and developing the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and promoting the modernization of the national governance system and governance capacity, closely promote Chinese path to modernization, adhere to the combination of goal orientation and problem orientation, go to the problem and focus on the problem reform, resolutely remove the ideas and shortcomings of the system and mechanism that hinder the promotion of Chinese path to modernization, focus on solving the deep-seated obstacles and structural contradictions in the system and mechanism, and constantly inject strong impetus into Chinese path to modernization and provide strong institutional guarantee.
We must adhere to and develop China's basic economic system, build a high-level socialist market economy system, improve the macroeconomic governance system and promote high-quality development institutional mechanisms, improve institutional mechanisms to support comprehensive innovation and urban-rural integration development, further liberate and develop social productive forces, enhance social vitality, and promote better adaptation of production relations and productive forces, superstructure, and economic foundation. To promote economic system reform, we should start from practical needs, start from the most urgent matters, and deepen theoretical innovation and promote institutional innovation in solving practical problems. Reform in other areas should also focus on global and strategic issues, plan reform measures, and achieve a clear outline.
We should plan and promote reform from the perspective of the overall, fundamental, and long-term interests of the people, follow the mass line of the Party in the new era, focus on finding the starting point and breakthrough point of reform from the urgent and difficult needs of the people, such as employment, income increase, enrollment, medical treatment, housing, services, childcare and elderly care, and life and property safety. We should also introduce more reform measures that are urgent for the people's livelihood and what the people want, and do more practical things that benefit the people's livelihood, warm their hearts, and conform to their will, so that the reform can give the people more sense of gain, happiness, and security.
We must adhere to the principles of integrity and innovation, and no matter how we reform, we must never waver in adhering to the Party's comprehensive leadership, Marxism, the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and the people's democratic dictatorship. At the same time, we must dare to innovate, make good and accurate changes to what needs to be and can be changed, and firmly grasp them. Reform should pay more attention to system integration, adhere to a global perspective and systematic thinking to plan and promote, strengthen the coordination and matching of various reform measures, promote reform measures in various fields and aspects to work together in the same direction and form a joint force, enhance overall efficiency, and prevent and overcome the phenomenon of each doing its own thing and mutual constraints. Reform needs to be carefully planned and implemented. We must adhere to the spirit of nailing the nail to ensure the implementation of reform. We must be proactive, solid and steady, clarify priorities, grasp timing and efficiency, do our best and act within our capacity, and cannot deviate from reality.
