China's friendly exchanges with the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council have spanned thousands of years and have a long history. In 2022, the first China Sea Summit was successfully held, opening up a new era of deepening cooperation between China and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The deepening of industrial and investment cooperation between China and the GCC countries is conducive to strengthening the docking of the joint construction of the "the Belt and Road" initiative with the development strategy and vision planning of the GCC countries, giving play to complementary advantages, jointly cultivating new drivers of development, and promoting the prosperity and development of both sides. China is willing to work together with the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to promote unity and seek cooperation, and write a new chapter in China Sea relations.
The China GCC National Forum on Industry and Investment Cooperation opened in Xiamen, Fujian Province on the same day, with the theme of "Facing the Future and Jointly Promoting High Quality Development of Industry and Investment Cooperation between China and GCC Countries". It was jointly hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission and the People's Government of Fujian Province.
