On the morning of May 22nd, the first large-scale fully liquid cooled intelligent computing power data center of China Telecom's Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area was released and the signing ceremony of the Digital Shaoguan Framework Agreement was held in Zhenjiang District, Shaoguan City. Chen Shaorong, Secretary of the Shaoguan Municipal Party Committee, and Chen Zhiqing, Mayor; Cui Zhanwei, Secretary of the Party Committee and General Manager of China Telecom Guangdong Company, and others attended the event. The China Telecom Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Integrated Data Center Project is a core layout of the national "East Calculation and West Calculation" in the Greater Bay Area. It is one of the eight hub nodes of the national integrated computing power network. The total investment of the first phase of the project exceeds 3.2 billion yuan, covering an area of about 98 acres and a total construction area of about 95000 square meters. The data center and fully liquid cooled intelligent computing center will be constructed with high quality according to the national A standard. The project started construction on May 6, 2023, and is the first project within the Shaoguan cluster. The civil engineering project reached its peak on September 12 of that year, and the mechanical and electrical construction was fully launched in December. According to the national A standard, high-quality construction was carried out for Building A1 data center and Building A2 fully liquid cooled intelligent computing center. Chen Shaorong, Secretary of the Shaoguan Municipal Party Committee, stated in his speech that the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area Integrated Data Center project is the largest scale of China Telecom and the first large-scale fully liquid cooled intelligent computing center in the Greater Bay Area. The project started in May 2023 and was officially released today, becoming a benchmark project for "the earliest to start construction, the fastest construction, and the first production", marking a solid step forward in the construction of the Shaoguan cluster and the development of the intelligent computing industry. Shaoguan will continue to deepen cooperation with Guangdong Telecom, firmly serve the development of enterprises, vigorously develop the entire industry chain from information equipment manufacturing, computing power center construction to intelligent computing applications, and serve the development of the intelligent computing industry in the Bay Area. We hope that Guangdong Telecom can fully leverage its advantages, continue to increase investment in Shaoguan, deepen digital empowerment, and promote high-quality development. Cui Zhanwei, General Manager of Guangdong Telecom, stated in his speech that China Telecom is building an advanced intelligent computing cluster in Shaoguan according to the new generation AIDC architecture, applying new technologies such as liquid cooling, artificial intelligence, digital twins, and integrated security protection to build a large-scale all liquid cooling intelligent computing cluster that serves the Bay Area and radiates to southern China. China Telecom is synchronously upgrading the network hierarchy of the Shaoguan data center cluster, creating a national network hub node, comprehensively enhancing cross regional computing power scheduling capabilities, and meeting the real-time computing power needs of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. Guangdong Telecom will continue to increase investment and focus on building the integrated data center of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area into an internationally competitive computing industry cluster, providing high-quality and efficient computing services for users in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area and even nationwide; At the same time, we will promote the landing of relevant computing power projects in Shaoguan, build a new ecosystem of computing power, and assist Shaoguan in accelerating the development of the entire industry chain from information equipment manufacturing, computing power center construction to intelligent computing applications, continuously empowering the digital economy, and promoting high-quality development in Shaoguan. At the release ceremony, a signing ceremony for the Digital Shaoguan Framework Agreement was also held.
