The Fourth Ministerial Conference on Water Resources of China, Japan, and South Korea was held on the 20th in Bali, Indonesia. Chinese Minister of Water Resources Li Guoying, Japanese Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport Takashi Kobayashi, and South Korean Deputy Minister of Environment Park Jae hyun attended the meeting. This conference is led by the Ministry of Water Resources of China, with the theme of "Responding to Climate Change and Building Resilient Water Infrastructure". The aim is to further implement the spirit of the 8th China Japan South Korea Leadership Conference and deepen cooperation in the field of water resources. The meeting focused on topics of common concern and the latest policies and practical experiences of the three countries, and discussed how to promote water resource governance in East Asia, Southeast Asia, and even the Asia Pacific region, and improve disaster prevention and reduction capabilities. At the meeting, representatives from the water resources departments of China, Japan, and South Korea jointly signed the Joint Statement of the Ministerial Conference on Water Resources of China, Japan, and South Korea. Li Guoying expressed his hope that in the future, the three countries will further strengthen policy dialogue, scientific research cooperation, and talent exchange, strengthen joint research and achievement promotion in areas such as water and drought disaster prevention under extreme weather, flood resource utilization, and digital twin water conservancy, and promote cooperation in water resources between China, Japan, and South Korea as a model of regional cooperation, making new and greater contributions to achieving the water related goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
