On May 17th, based on intelligence, the police conducted a raid on a warehouse located in Pingfeng, Fanling, and discovered a large amount of drugs in two containers from South America that reported carrying 40 tons of scrap metal. The Hong Kong police arrested two men, aged 22 and 29, on charges of "trafficking in dangerous drugs" during the operation, believed to be members of a drug trafficking group. The Hong Kong police stated that it is difficult to find drugs in a large amount of scrap metal, and heavy tools are needed to assist.
