In the constantly deepening industrial cooperation, China and the world are increasingly showing two-way interaction. In 2018, China lifted the restrictions on foreign investment in the manufacturing of new energy vehicles, and car companies such as Tesla, Volkswagen, BMW, and Toyota invested in electric vehicle production in China. According to a report released by Gaist Automotive Strategy Consulting, in 2023, foreign car companies accounted for a total share of 14.2% in the Chinese new energy passenger vehicle market, with Tesla in the United States accounting for 7.9%. Thanks to the strong support of China's policy environment, industrial chain, and talent, Tesla achieved the production of complete vehicles exceeding one million within three years. Volkswagen has established the largest research and development center outside its German headquarters in Hefei, Anhui, focusing on the development of intelligent connected vehicles. While opening its doors to multinational corporations, China also supports foreign investment in new energy. BYD is building an advanced and highly automated new energy vehicle production base in Hungary, which not only promotes the green transformation of the local industry, but also creates thousands of job opportunities for the local area. NIO has established global design centers and intelligent driving technology centers in Munich and Berlin, Germany, respectively. As Walter Dorling, founder and dean of the German World Market Leaders Institute, said, economic and trade cooperation between Germany and China has never been a one-way street. Bilateral economic and trade ties are close, providing strong impetus for the sustainable development of the two countries' economies.
