Social Power Helps Rural Craftsman Public Welfare Symposium and Launching of Rural Craftsman Empowerment Plan

The second National Rural Revitalization Vocational Skills Competition was held in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province from May 8th to 10th. The competition was jointly organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the People's Government of Guizhou Province. On May 10th, an event titled "Social Power Assists Rural Craftsman Public Welfare Symposium and Launch of Rural Craftsman Empowerment Plan" was held on-site. This activity aims to gather forces from all sectors of society, jointly support the development of rural craftsmen, and assist in the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. About 150 officials from the Vocational Ability Department of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Assistance Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, responsible officials from agricultural and rural departments (committees) of various provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the central government), representatives from the business community, and rural craftsmen attended and participated in the event. This event focused on in-depth exchanges and sharing of topics such as the cultivation, skill inheritance, and market expansion of rural craftsmen supported by social forces, and was mainly divided into three stages. One is the speech section. Chen Bo, Deputy Director of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department of Guizhou Province, and Zheng Wenkai, Chairman of the China Rural Development Foundation, delivered speeches respectively. Chen Bo stated that Guizhou Province is the province that consolidates and expands the achievements of poverty alleviation and effectively connects with the task of rural revitalization. Through this exhibition and exchange activity, Guizhou Province will closely adhere to the national "Double Hundred and Double Thousand" cultivation project goals, continue to promote the cultivation of rural craftsmen, and encourage more social forces to participate. Zheng Wenkai stated in his speech that the support of social forces in cultivating "rural craftsmen" is guided by learning from the experience of the "Ten Million Project", allowing rural craftsmen to have great potential in rural revitalization, and showcasing the unique agricultural culture of China. This rural craftsman skills exhibition and exchange activity will have a profound impact on strengthening the rural craftsman team, expanding the influence of rural craftsman brands, and promoting social employment development. This is a career with a wide range of fields, rich connotations, and broad development prospects. The second is the discussion session. This event also invited Professor Hu Yuegao from China Agricultural University, relevant officials from the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Department (Committee) of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Chongqing City, to express their thoughts on the development of rural artisan groups, focusing on "the development of rural artisan engineering" and "the inheritance and cultivation of rural artisans". At the same time, representatives from China National Petroleum Corporation, Magic Square Quantitative, Alibaba Public Welfare, and Yiwen Group exchanged and shared their experiences and measures in empowering rural talents and driving regional income growth, demonstrating their social responsibility, positive attitude, and public welfare sentiment. The third is the initiation stage. Firstly, Chen Hongtao, Secretary General of the China Rural Development Foundation, introduced the "Rural Craftsman Empowerment Plan". The plan aims to promote the cultivation of rural craftsman talent through assistance measures such as inheritance space, apprenticeship bonuses, craftsman schools, and industrial support, enhance the management and development capabilities of rural craftsmen, and assist them in developing new products, establishing brands, and increasing employment and income. The "Rural Craftsman Empowerment Plan" was jointly initiated by representatives from the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the China Rural Development Foundation, the Guizhou Branch of Xinhua News Agency, China Petroleum, Magic Square Quantitative, Alibaba Public Welfare, Guangdong Vipshop Charity Foundation, and Shanghai Xingxing Gravity Film and Television Media Co., Ltd.
