Tbilisi News: According to the Chinese Embassy in Georgia on the 29th, the agreement between China and Georgia on mutual exemption of visas for ordinary passport holders will come into effect on May 28th. On the 29th, Chinese Ambassador to Georgia, Zhou Qian, submitted a note to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Hevtishashvili, confirming that China has completed the domestic approval procedures for the Agreement between China and Georgia on Mutual Exemption of Visas for Ordinary Passport Holders. Zhou Qian said that with the completion of the replacement procedures, the agreement between China and Georgia on mutual exemption of visas for ordinary passport holders will officially come into effect on May 28th. He stated that this is another achievement of the China Georgia strategic partnership, which will facilitate personnel exchanges between the two countries and promote cooperation in economy, trade, culture, tourism, and other areas. Hefty Shashvili said that the visa free agreement will enhance mutual understanding between the two peoples and promote the continuous development of the Georgia China strategic partnership. According to this agreement, those who hold a valid ordinary passport of the People's Republic of China or a valid ordinary passport of Georgia and enter, exit or transit through the other contracting party shall not stay for more than 30 days in a single stay, and shall not stay for more than 90 days in total every 180 days, and shall be exempt from visa application.
