In 2022, the proportion of excellent water quality in the national control section of the Yangtze River Basin reached 98.1%, an increase of 16.3 percentage points from 2015; The proportion of Class I to III surface water sections in the Yellow River Basin reached 87.5%, an increase of 5.6 percentage points year-on-year. The population of wild animals has significantly increased. In the Three Rivers Source National Nature Reserve of the "China Water Tower", the population of Tibetan antelopes has increased to over 70000, and the protection level has been lowered from "endangered species" to "near endangered species". The ecological security barrier continues to be reinforced, and the cumulative implementation of returning farmland to forests and grasslands has exceeded 320 million acres, significantly increasing forest coverage. To promote high-quality development through high-level protection, it is necessary to continuously optimize the pattern of national spatial development and protection. Land is the spatial carrier of green development, and national spatial planning is the guide for spatial development, the spatial blueprint for sustainable development, and the basic basis for various development, protection, and construction activities.
