On the evening of April 25th, the Long March 2F Yao 18 carrier rocket (hereinafter referred to as the "Long March 2F rocket"), developed by the First Research Institute of China Aerospace Science and Technology Group Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the "Aerospace Science and Technology Group First Institute"), ignited and took off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, accurately launching the Shenzhou 18 manned spacecraft into its designated orbit. China's first manned launch mission in 2024 has been a complete success. Since 1999, the Chang2F rocket, known as the "Divine Arrow," has been involved in every step of China's manned space program's "three-step" strategy. It builds a safe "ladder" for astronauts with a 100% success rate. The Chang2F rocket has been injected with safety genes since its inception. The older generation of astronauts designed the Chang2F rocket with reliability and safety as their primary goals, while the younger generation of astronauts held onto the relay rod to protect the safety of astronauts while continuously improving their technological status. In order to improve the anti-interference ability of the rocket, the development team has left enough space in the design margin. For example, the control system of the Chang 2F rocket adopts a dual redundancy or even triple redundancy design strategy, which can ensure flight safety even if the rocket experiences single board level failures during flight. The Chang2F rocket bears the mission of protecting the safety of astronauts. Therefore, when a catastrophic malfunction occurs, the unique fault detection and processing system will issue escape instructions and terminate flight instructions, timely guiding astronauts out of danger. At around 17:00 on April 25th, the fault detection and handling team began preparing for the rocket launch status, transitioning from ground power supply to onboard battery power supply. Huang Chen from the First Academy of Aerospace Science and Technology Group introduced that in the past, when operating the battery interface on each arrow, it needed to be disassembled and reassembled four times. Due to the narrow space on the arrow, the body needed to be suspended for operation, making the operation difficult. In addition, directly below the battery interface is the rendezvous interface between the spacecraft and the space station. If any debris falls into it, it can cause a major accident. In this mission, the Chang 2F rocket team optimized the technical status of this operation. "In the past, the battery on the rocket was connected by bolts and nuts, but now it has been replaced by a plug connection, which is much more convenient to operate. The operation time has been compressed from 1 hour to 3-5 minutes, improving efficiency while ensuring safety." Huang Chen told reporters that since the successful execution of the Shenzhou-1 flight mission in 1999, the Chang-2F rocket has maintained a 100% success rate in launch, and the fault detection and handling system has never been activated.
