During the Ministerial Meeting of the 80th Annual Conference of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, the side meeting on the theme of "Continuing to Strive for Sustainable Development Goals: Welcoming the Future Summit" was held in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, on the afternoon of the 24th. Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Han Zhiqiang shared the stories of Chinese and Thai companies working together to turn waste into treasure in operating garbage power generation projects, Chinese car companies helping Thailand's new energy industry development and green economic transformation, and the continuous deepening of digital cooperation between China and Thailand to promote the "digital dividend" benefiting more and more people, among others, working together to promote sustainable development. Deputy Director of the Thai International Cooperation Agency, Aruni, emphasized through a video speech that Thailand has made 17 sustainable development goals its top priority. In the field of international development cooperation, Thailand focuses on four major areas that directly affect people's well-being, including employment, food, health, energy, and the environment. Huang Yirui, Deputy Head of the Permanent Mission of Malaysia to the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, spoke and stated that Malaysia is convinced that the Global Development Initiative is a more open and innovative solution. This plan helps to enhance the synergy of the "circle of friends" and provides better impetus for accelerating the achievement of sustainable development goals. Li Yutong, Director of the United Nations Center for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization, believes that achieving food security for all is the top priority on the global development agenda. The food system is closely related to all sustainable development goals, especially poverty and hunger. "The Sustainable Development Goals may be the only 'North Star' in front of us," summarized Chang Qide, the coordinator of the United Nations Development System in China.
