Utilizing the Educational Function of Revolutionary Cultural Relics through Multiple Channels

2024-04-15

There are over 36000 immovable revolutionary cultural relics and 37 areas for the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics in our country. How to make good use of revolutionary sites and other red resources to protect and utilize revolutionary cultural relics? Jiangxi Ruijin Innovation Mechanism, the cradle of the Republic, strengthens the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics, actively explores the transformation of red resources into development momentum, conducts meticulous research and exhibition explanations, and promotes cooperation between museums and schools. The Jiangxi Ruijin Central Revolutionary Base Memorial Hall is jointly built, created, and nurtured with multiple local schools. During holidays, there are "Red Scarf Explanators" at Ruijin's revolutionary site to explain to the audience. The memorial hall also sends guides to rural primary and secondary schools to carry out activities, making good use of revolutionary cultural relics, promoting revolutionary traditions, and inheriting revolutionary culture. Revolutionary cultural relics carry the glorious history of the heroic struggle of the Party and the people, record the great process and touching deeds of the Chinese revolution, and are important carriers of revolutionary culture and red genes. Strengthening the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics and leveraging their educational functions through multiple channels is a real move to promote revolutionary culture and inherit the red gene. Bringing revolutionary cultural relics into the classroom, organizing young students to visit revolutionary sites and memorial venues, and combining the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics with the construction of "ideological and political courses" are innovative measures to strengthen ideological and political education in primary, secondary, and tertiary schools in the new era. In the information age, primary and secondary school students have various channels to acquire knowledge and information, and their methods are iterated frequently. Innovating teaching content and methods, and adopting a way that adapts to the habits of young people to construct "big ideological and political courses", are important ways to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education. The Memorial Hall of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China has implemented the "100 Cultural Relics Collections in 100 Classrooms" project, carefully selecting 100 out of 128000 collections and providing order based services to schools, achieving deep integration of revolutionary cultural relics and "ideological and political courses". Jiangxi Normal University organized students to visit Jinggangshan, where they understood revolutionary history and felt the heroic spirit of the martyrs through revolutionary cultural relics. Revolutionary history became more tangible and trustworthy, and revolutionary martyrs became more approachable and respectable; They walked into the revolutionary scene, immersed themselves in revolutionary scenes, invited revolutionary cultural relics to "speak" and empathize with revolutionary martyrs. This kind of "great ideological and political class" is both vivid and effective. Making revolutionary cultural relics a textbook, organizing party members and cadres to pay tribute to and learn from the martyrs, and combining the protection and utilization of revolutionary cultural relics with the education of ideal beliefs of party members and cadres is an inherent requirement for building a Marxist political party with long-term governance in the new era. Revolutionary cultural relics are the evidence of the revolutionary heroes, revolutionary martyrs and revolutionary predecessors who have taken active and courageous actions for their ideals and beliefs. A pair of red army shoes, weapons that have gone through the flames of war, and a pair of stretchers to rescue revolutionary comrades all witness the glorious history of suffering of the CPC people, and all of them are shining with dazzling party spirit. Hunan Province Focuses on Party Members and Cadres, Treating Revolutionary Cultural Relics as Party History
