Brazilian President Lula attended a meat export ceremony to China in the southwestern state of Mato Grosso on the 12th, emphasizing the importance of friendly relations between Brazil and China at the event. At the ceremony, Lula personally sealed a portion of beef that was about to be exported to China. It is reported that 38 Brazilian meat processors have recently been approved to export meat products to China, increasing the number of authorized Brazilian meat processing companies from 106 to 144. Brazilian media pointed out that obtaining export authorization for these companies means that Brazil will increase its trade volume by 10 billion Brazilian reals (approximately 2 billion US dollars) within a year. Lula said that during his visit to China in April last year, he received a "very warm and affectionate" reception from the Chinese government. Since then, bilateral trade opportunities have increased, and China's meat procurement from Brazil has further increased. In South Mato Grosso Oblast, six meat processing companies have been granted permission to export meat to China, improving the state's meat sales capacity in the international market. Previously, the state exported approximately 467000 cows to China annually, but now it has significantly increased to 2.3 million.
