Digital "Qianlong" Escorts the Construction of Water Conservancy Projects in the Pearl River Delta

Recently, the the Pearl River Delta Water Resources Allocation Project (hereinafter referred to as the Pearl River Delta Project), one of the 172 major water conservation and water supply projects deployed by the State Council and a major water conservancy infrastructure in the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, was fully opened to water. Behind this 113.2 kilometer long water transmission project, there is also a digital water transmission project running along with it. It is the underground digital "hidden dragon" for the construction of the entire lifecycle BIM+GIS system platform project of the Pearl River Delta project. In 2019, when the Pearl River Delta Project officially started construction, the construction of the BIM+GIS system platform (Phase I) project, a smart engineering project jointly undertaken by the Water Resources and Hydropower Planning and Design Institute of the Ministry of Water Resources and the Shanghai Survey, Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. After more than 5 years, a digital water conservancy project covering the entire lifecycle of the project has gradually emerged. Digital technology has given wings of wisdom to engineering construction and operation and maintenance. "The key to configuring a" CT machine "and a" full lifecycle BIM+GIS system platform for engineering construction is to provide auxiliary decision-making. "Deng Peng, Vice President of the Smart Engineering Research Institute of Three Gorges Shanghai Institute, told reporters that the platform integrates a" human, machine, material, method, and environment "full element monitoring system, which can integrate with core management data such as safety, quality, progress, and investment during the engineering construction process, and fully perceive the engineering construction process. However, the construction of water pipelines using deep buried shield tunneling at depths of 40 to 60 meters underground has brought many difficulties to engineering construction and operation. "The geological conditions in the Pearl River Delta region are very complex, known as the 'Geological Museum'. There is a high risk of long-distance shield tunneling construction, and the surrounding environment is very sensitive. Minor changes in groundwater and other factors may cause deformation of surrounding buildings. Deng Peng told reporters that in order to make engineering builders familiar with underground operations, the BIM+GIS system platform provides a solution throughout the entire lifecycle.". On the full lifecycle BIM+GIS system platform, engineers can open shield tunneling thematic scenes with geographic information data to visually see the process of shield tunneling underground. "Wherever the shield tunneling machine goes, its upper structure and changes in surface appearance can be displayed in real-time on the system platform." Deng Peng said that this is equivalent to configuring a "CT machine" for construction, allowing the changes below the ground to be seen at a glance.
