The opening ceremony of the "Hong Kong Jockey Club Presentation Series: In the World - Henan Xia Shang Zhou Dynasty Civilization Exhibition" was held at the Hong Kong Museum of History on the 2nd. This exhibition is the first Chinese General History series exhibition since the establishment of the Hong Kong Office for Promoting Chinese Culture. It showcases over 150 cultural relics from the Henan Museum and more than 10 cultural and museum institutions in the province, of which 33 are national first-class cultural relics, and about 40 are being exhibited for the first time outside of Henan Province. The key exhibits of this exhibition include the animal faced milk nail patterned copper square cauldron, the Prince Wu cauldron, and a complete set of bronze ritual vessels with nine cauldrons, eight Guis, and nine cauldrons, which are national first-class cultural relics, as well as precious cultural relics such as primitive porcelain statues and turquoise beads. The Deputy Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Cheuk Wing hing, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, stating that this exhibition is an important achievement of deepening cooperation between Hong Kong and Henan. Looking ahead to the future, the Secretary for Administration of the Special Administrative Region Government will lead the soon to be established Patriotic Education Working Group to gather the strength of the government, business, and people, and comprehensively deepen patriotic education. I encourage everyone to participate more in the activities of the Office for Promoting Chinese Culture, in order to better understand and appreciate the profound connotations of Chinese culture.
