On March 26th, the 13th Shunde Consort Conference and the "Shunde Honorary City Magistrates" award ceremony were held in Hong Kong. The purpose of this event is to tell the stories of Shunde and Hong Kong well, share local feelings, and seek common development. The theme of the conference is "Uniting the World, Moving Together", and over 800 villagers from more than 20 countries and regions gathered in Hong Kong. At the meeting, 12 local elites were awarded the "Shunde Honorary Yixian" medal in recognition of their contributions to various construction projects in Shunde. Pang Guomei, Deputy Minister of the United Front Work Department of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office, stated that in 2024, Guangdong will further improve its work on "overseas Chinese" and gather the strength of overseas Chinese. As a pioneer of Guangdong's reform and opening up, Shunde is also opening up its arms to extend the olive branch of cooperation wider and further, vigorously promoting economic construction, beautiful city construction, and the construction of a typical area of the "Hundred and Ten Million Project", striving to move towards the goal of leading the high-quality development of the county. Liu Zhiyong, Deputy Secretary of the Foshan Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Shunde District Party Committee, stated that Shunde is a city that is inclusive and values both emotions and righteousness. It is a hometown that everyone wants to return to and stay in. "We will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao compatriots, as well as overseas Chinese, to create better opportunities for everyone to participate in the construction and shared development of their hometowns." Shunde compatriots and the President of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Legislative Council, Leung Chun yan, believe that the Shunde Friendship Conference is a bridge connecting Shunde with cooperation from all over the world. We hope that everyone can make good use of the agendas of the Global Shunde Youth Summit, Shunde Global Investment and Promotion Conference, and Hometown Tour to strengthen exchanges and seek new opportunities for development between their hometowns and the world through dialogue. As an important part of the 13th Consort Conference, the "Overseas Chinese Assisting Shunde in High Quality Development -2024 Global Youth Summit Forum" was held on the afternoon of the 26th. The event gathered young compatriots from all walks of life in the overseas Chinese community from all over the world, conducting in-depth exchanges in the form of "teaching, discussing, and asking questions", and jointly exploring mutual assistance and win-win development strategies. It is reported that the World Shunde Friendship Association holds a heartfelt ceremony every two years, and the past twelve sessions have traveled to nine major cities on five continents. Nowadays, the Sincere Kiss Conference has developed into an important platform for the global community of Shunde people to build harmonious relationships, unite and strive for mutual development. It is also a work brand for Shunde to integrate into the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area, strengthen economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges with countries and regions around the world, and has been widely praised.
