In 2023, the State Administration of Taxation, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Supreme People's Court, among other eight departments, fully utilized the role of the joint crackdown mechanism to crack down on tax related illegal activities such as false opening and tax fraud, and carried out serious investigations and punishments, effectively deterring criminals and maintaining economic operation order and national tax security. Recently, eight departments reported on the joint crackdown on tax related crimes. Data shows that in 2023, a total of 174000 suspected tax fraud enterprises were inspected nationwide, especially in cracking down on tax related illegal activities such as defrauding export tax refunds, and recovering approximately 16.6 billion yuan in export tax refund losses. It is reported that the eight departments are also focusing on the implementation of escort tax and fee preferential policies, solidly preventing and cracking down on key risks, recovering 3.2 billion yuan in national tax losses, and effectively preventing policy "red envelopes" from falling into the pockets of criminals.
