2024-02-22

The 40th Hong Kong International Jewelry Exhibition, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, will be held from February 27th to March 2nd at the Asia International Expo, while the 10th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gemstone and Pearl Exhibition will be held from February 29th to March 4th at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. According to Zhang Shufen, Vice President of the Hong Kong Trade and Development Council, this year's Jewelry Double Exhibition is themed "Building a Brilliant Legend Together" and is expected to attract over 4000 companies from over 40 countries and regions to participate. The overall scale is close to pre pandemic levels, highlighting Hong Kong's position as an international trade and jewelry procurement center. It is reported that Hong Kong's precious jewelry exports rebounded by 23% to HKD 87.8 billion last year, an increase of 40% compared to before the pandemic. In addition to the Zhuji Pavilion, there is also a newly added Henan Pavilion in mainland China. The exhibition halls of four industry organizations have also returned to the jewelry double exhibition after the epidemic, including the Tanzanite Association, the Asia Pacific Creative Artists Association, the International Colored Gemstone Association, and the T-GOLD+METS exhibition hall (jointly organized by the Hong Kong Jewelry and Jade Manufacturers Association and the Italian Exhibition Group), which mainly showcases jewelry manufacturing machinery. The Hong Kong International Jewelry Exhibition is divided into 18 exhibition areas, and the highly anticipated "Jewelry Essence Gallery" has attracted 78 global exhibitors, showcasing masterpieces of diamond, gemstone, jade, and pearl jewelry. Hong Kong exhibitor New World Haida will showcase a jewelry set made in Brazil, adorned with approximately 110 rare gemstones, including necklaces, earrings, and rings, with a total value of over HKD 15 million. The "Jewelry Design Selection" exhibition area not only showcases designer fashion collections, but also has many creative designs with cultural characteristics this year. Among them, Japanese exhibitor Jewelryof RadenUrushi brought a brooch called "Mizuhiki" that blends traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Its design concept is inspired by Japanese knot art, which not only features black pearls, diamonds, and green garnet decorations, but also uses lacquerware to create some of the ties. Hong Kong exhibitor Jiaying Jewelry brings the brand "Labroderie" embroidery, with national intangible cultural heritage embroidery as its selling point. Hong Kong embroidery masters use silk thread to embroider butterflies, dragonflies, and orchids, and then sew gold structures and jewelry. The craftsmanship is delicate, and the embroidery is fresh and elegant. The Hong Kong International Diamond, Gemstone and Pearl Exhibition will gather a variety of diamond, gemstone and pearl raw materials, divided into 11 exhibition areas, including three high-end product areas - "Diamond Essence Gallery", "Natural Treasures" and "Ocean Treasures", showcasing top white diamonds, colored diamonds, high-end gemstones and rare pearls and other jewelry raw materials from all over the world, including rare orange natural colored diamonds. The Jewelry Double Exhibition will also hold over 30 special lectures, industry forums, and jewelry performances to showcase the latest trend designs and promote industry exchanges. The activity includes exploring the latest developments in AI and jewelry design
