All exterior panels of the main venue of Hong Kong Kai Tak Sports Park were installed on the 19th, marking a new milestone in this world-class construction project. The project team expects that the sports park can connect with the international community and become a world-class new landmark for sports and entertainment. It is reported that the main venue is designed with the theme of "Pearl of the East", and its surface is composed of approximately 27000 triangular aluminum panels of different shapes. The project team adopted a special spray coating technology, which allows the surface of these panels to present a "pearl like" color transformation, while also having self-cleaning function, which can effectively reduce the impact of dust and rainwater on the exterior walls. With the completion of the exterior wall installation, the construction project of Qide Sports Park has entered the final construction stage. The project team stated that the Kai Tak Sports Park will become a vibrant and attractive new landmark, further promoting the popularization, elite and grand events of sports, and will become one of the ideal venues for the 15th National Games jointly hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macau in 2025. As the largest sports infrastructure project in Hong Kong's history, Kai Tak Sports Park covers an area of approximately 28 hectares and is expected to be completed by the end of this year and put into operation by 2025. The venue facilities include a home stadium that can accommodate 50000 people, an indoor sports arena that can accommodate 10000 people, and a public sports field that can accommodate 5000 people.
