Recently, a Qatari technology company has developed a Swapery machine that can charge mobile phones in 7 seconds. It comes with a lightweight battery pack. Users can attach these battery packs to the back of their phone and connect them to the phone charging port. When charging is needed, the user inserts the phone into the Swapery, and the machine will automatically replace the battery pack with another batch of fully charged new battery packs, and charge the replaced battery packs. Some comments suggest that this model, similar to electric vehicle battery swapping and replenishment, is expected to alleviate modern people's anxiety about mobile phone battery levels. On the other hand, the average power of fast charging increases rapidly. From the first quarter of 2022 to the second quarter of 2023, the average fast charging power of smartphones worldwide increased from 30 watts to 34 watts, with the average fast charging power in the Chinese market reaching 50 watts. With the popularization of fast charging technology, the field of mobile phone charging is undergoing marginal and transitional changes. From the perspective of enterprises, competition on the fast charging track is gradually entering a stage of diminishing marginal returns.
