President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye attended the reception ceremony of the new ship at Yalova Shipyard, which is located on the coast of the Marmara Sea, not far from Istanbul. Erdogan stated in his speech, "Today, we will hand over the world's first fully automated electronic warfare unmanned vessel - the 'Gunfish' armed unmanned vessel - to the navy. This will further enhance the strength of our military." Public information shows that the 'Gunfish' armed unmanned vessel can serve as a maritime platform to participate in military and reconnaissance operations. It can suppress communication equipment and various radio signals. The unmanned boat is equipped with a radar system and satellite navigation system, which can be deployed in ports or carried by large warships. According to the requirements of the mission, the "Gunfish" armed unmanned boat can be equipped with missiles, torpedoes, automatic artillery, sonar buoys that can expand the detection radius of underwater targets, as well as sonar systems that can adjust the detection frequency and automatically process information. The maximum range of the boat is 400 nautical miles, with a sailing time of up to 24 hours and a maximum speed of 36 knots. At the same time, the first domestic "Istanbul" class frigate, a combat support ship and a supply ship were also used in Türkiye's navy.
