China Central Asia Youth Emerging Design Exchange Exhibition and Silk Road Treasure Collection - Silk Road Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition opened in Yulin

On January 18th, the China Central Asian Five Countries Youth Emerging Design Exchange Exhibition and Silk Road Treasure Collection - Silk Road Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition opened at the Yuyang District Cultural and Art Center in Yulin, Shaanxi. Lv Pinjing, Vice Dean of the Central Academy of Fine Arts and Director of the Architectural Arts Committee of the China Artists Association, stated in her speech that the exhibition aims to promote cultural exchange between young people from China and Central Asian countries, consolidate the foundation of mutual learning and learning between Chinese and Central Asian youth, and work together for a better and more prosperous tomorrow for China and Central Asian countries. Yin Jie, Deputy Editor in Chief of the International Communication Development Center of the China Foreign Languages and Culture Bureau, expressed the hope that through the China Central Asia Youth Emerging Design Week, as well as exchange exhibitions, study visits, and design co creation, we can cross regional boundaries, build a stage to broaden our horizons and inspire creativity, and discover and cultivate more outstanding young emerging designers. Shan Shuping, member of the Standing Committee of the Yulin Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Propaganda, expressed gratitude for the support of the cooperation units related to the exhibition and announced the opening of the exhibition. The "Diversified Imagination - China Central Asia Youth Emerging Design Exchange Exhibition" is an important achievement of the Design Week. Domestic and foreign artists and designers jointly practice the Global Civilization Initiative in a unique way, showcasing the artistic characteristics of various countries to the world in a more diverse way. The exhibition focuses on three design themes: clothing and fashion, jewelry design, and the recreation and transformation of traditional patterns. A total of 91 pieces (sets) of works from nearly 70 artists and designers from China and five Central Asian countries were exhibited. The exhibited works include representative works of participating artists and designers, as well as co created works with Chinese intangible cultural heritage inheritors. In combination with the representative intangible cultural heritage projects in northern Shaanxi, Paper Cuttings, shadow puppets and embroidery works were added this time. Yue Jieqiong, Director of the Collaborative Innovation Office of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, Deputy Director of the Silk Road Art Research Collaborative Innovation Center, and Curator of the Exchange Exhibition, stated that the Hebei Tour is expected to become an important cultural exchange activity between China and the five Central Asian countries, and a source of design imagination. The Silk Road Treasure Collection - Silk Road Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition adheres to the concept of exhibition, exchange, cooperation, and sharing, showcasing more than 100 wonderful intangible cultural heritage works from more than ten Silk Road countries at home and abroad. The exhibits are diverse, uniquely conceptualized, exquisitely crafted, and colorful, showcasing the craftsmanship spirit of intangible cultural heritage masters from different countries and the aspirations of people from all over the world for a better life. The content covers Jordan mosaic tile paintings, Thai Kong opera masks, colorful porcelain, Pakistani bronze carving, Indian woodcarving, Sri Lankan masks, string puppets, Uzbekistan metal products, Kenya black wood carving, Zimbabwe stone carving, Chinese lacquerware, filigree silverware, and wood carving, among others. Chen Xiangning, Deputy General Manager of Beijing Zhongzhan Danqing Exhibition Co., Ltd., stated that the exhibition showcases the integration and mutual reflection of the development of civilizations in countries along the Silk Road, perfectly interpreting the Silk Road of "each beauty has its own beauty, and beauty works together"
