In 2023, the Ministry of Commerce will implement the decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee and the State Council to accelerate the development of the digital economy, promote the important role of e-commerce in restoring and expanding consumption, promoting the integration of data and reality, and deepening international cooperation, and achieve positive results in high-quality development. The new driving force for expanding consumption is becoming stronger. The annual online retail sales reached 15.42 trillion yuan, an increase of 11%, becoming the world's largest online retail market for 11 consecutive years; The proportion of physical commodity websites to social zero has increased to 27.6%, setting a new historical high; Green, healthy, intelligent and "China-Chic" products are favored, and the sales of domestic brands account for more than 65% of the key monitored brands; Since the introduction of the policy to promote home consumption, the year-on-year growth of elderly friendly furniture, home theaters, and home decorations from August to December has been 372.1%, 153.3%, and 64.6%, respectively. The new hotspots of service consumption are becoming more diverse. The combined sales of online tourism, online entertainment, and online catering contributed 23.5% to the net zero growth, driving the net zero growth by 2.6 percentage points. Among them, online tourism sales increased by 237.5%, and tourism highlights such as Harbin Ice and Snow Season and Guizhou Village Super emerged frequently; Online entertainment sales increased by 102.2%, with online sales for concerts increasing by 40.9 times; The sales revenue of online catering increased by 29.1%, further increasing its proportion to 22.2% of the total catering consumption. The new model of integrating data and reality is becoming more diverse. The transaction function of industrial e-commerce platforms has been further strengthened, and the Ministry of Commerce has monitored a 30% increase in transaction volume on key platforms; The role of the national e-commerce demonstration base has become more prominent, integrating and cultivating more than 30 digital industrial belts to help industry enterprises reduce costs and increase efficiency; The "digital commerce promotes agriculture" has achieved significant results, with rural and agricultural product online retail sales reaching 2.49 trillion yuan and 0.59 trillion yuan respectively throughout the year, both growing faster than the overall growth rate of online retail. The new space for international cooperation is even broader. The number of partner countries for Silk Road e-commerce has increased to 30; The 34 tasks of Shanghai's "Silk Road E-commerce" cooperation pilot zone have been launched, and the construction of a new highland for institutional openness in e-commerce has achieved initial results; Jointly launching an initiative to strengthen e-commerce cooperation with ASEAN, contributing Chinese wisdom to global digital governance; Hold a national Global Digital Trade Expo to create a new platform for building a trade power; Shanghai, Guangxi, Shaanxi, Hainan and other regions held the ASEAN Good Things Online Shopping Festival and Central Asia Theme Day, carried out live broadcasts of envoys, and further deepened international e-commerce cooperation both online and offline; The sales revenue of imported goods on major domestic e-commerce platforms has reached 290.34 billion yuan, and consumer choices are more diverse.
