The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority of Hong Kong announced on the 18th that it will hold the Hong Kong International Cultural Summit Forum for the first time from March 25th to 26th in the West Kowloon Cultural District. It is reported that this summit forum is the first large-scale international cultural summit held by the West Kowloon Cultural District, marking the beginning of the 2024 Hong Kong Arts Week. The forum will gather over 20 guest speakers from different countries and regions, including leaders from multiple major cultural regions and top cultural and museum institutions. Participants will strengthen international cultural exchange and establish partnerships through dialogue and discussion, and experience Hong Kong's multicultural atmosphere through a variety of activities. The theme of this summit forum is "Cross cultural Era", aimed at promoting the exchange and collision of cultural knowledge and forward thinking. Participants will share and exchange ideas on hot topics related to the future development of cultural areas and museums. The summit forum will arrange live broadcasts so that audiences from all over the world can participate online. Tang Yingnian, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the West Kowloon Cultural District Management Bureau, stated that the national "14th Five Year Plan" clearly supports the development of a Sino foreign cultural and artistic exchange center in Hong Kong.
