Xiyue Temple: A Thousand Year Old and Beautiful Architecture in the Snow

2024-01-17

Recently, after a heavy snowfall, the Xiyue Temple located at the foot of Huashan Mountain in Shaanxi Province has become more ancient. The white snow and the pavilions and pavilions in the temple blend seamlessly, beautiful as poetry and painting. The Xiyue Temple was first built during the reign of Emperor Wu of Han and later became a place for emperors to worship the Huashan God. The building faces north and south, with the temple gate facing Mount Hua. The entire courtyard is lush with trees and rugged rocks, creating a garden like atmosphere. (Lai Xin She)
