Experts call for accelerating the process of compiling the Education Code to provide strong guarantees for building a strong education country

"Compiling an education code is conducive to enhancing the scientific and systematic nature of the rule of law in education, providing authoritative and comprehensive legal solutions for education governance. This is a phased and long-term project that cannot be achieved overnight, and long-term plans need to be made." Ma Huaide, President of China University of Political Science and Law and Vice President of the China Law Society, suggested that the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress timely incorporate the compilation of an education code into legislative planning and make unified deployments, in order to comprehensively promote the legalization and modernization of education governance and achieve good law and governance in the field of education. Li Lianning pointed out that the problems of tampering with application preferences and the phenomenon of overlapping and even contradictory educational legal norms in China's education field need to be solved through the compilation of educational codes, in order to provide strong legal protection for building an education strong country. "The legislation in the field of education has undergone more than 40 years of development through reform and opening up, gradually transitioning from a rough legislative stage to a codification stage that comprehensively summarizes practical experience, focuses on top-level design, and fully reflects China's national conditions." Feng Yujun, a professor at the Law School of Renmin University of China and executive vice president of the Legislative Law Research Association of the China Law Society, believes that the conditions for the compilation of educational codes are already met, and the process needs to be accelerated. What kind of education code should be compiled? This is an important issue that cannot be avoided in compiling the Education Code. "The Education Code is not comprehensive, and the content included in the code needs to be adjusted. Existing education laws and regulations need to be screened, and some content needs to be modified." Ma Huaide said. Cheng Yanlei, former member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice President, and Professor of Anhui University, believes that the basic principle of adjusting the scope of the Education Code is "moderate codification", which deals with the relationship between the Education Code and the Education Single Law.
