The National Conference on Drug Supervision and Administration was held in Beijing from January 9th to 10th. The meeting made four specific arrangements for this year's drug regulatory work. One is to take the initiative in preventing and controlling drug safety risks. Taking the prevention and resolution of drug quality and safety risks as the fundamental task of drug supervision work, we will take proactive risk prevention and control measures, continuously deepen the consolidation and improvement of drug safety, focus on the supervision of key varieties, key enterprises, and key links, promote the linkage of drug safety department supervision responsibilities, local management responsibilities, and enterprise main responsibilities, and effectively resolve risks in their early stages. The second is to create an efficient and fair regulatory environment. Give full play to the role of supervision and guidance, deepen the reform of the evaluation and approval system, actively support pharmaceutical research and development innovation, promote the inheritance and innovation development of traditional Chinese medicine, continuously improve the level of convenience for enterprises and the people, and promote the construction of an industrial ecosystem that supports the research and development, production, sales, and clinical application of innovative drugs and devices. The third is to accelerate the modernization of drug supervision. Strengthen institutional and means innovation, strengthen the construction of the rule of law in drug supervision, continuously improve the level of regulatory informatization, deepen scientific research and international cooperation in regulation, build a high-quality and professional cadre talent team, and accelerate the improvement of drug supervision efficiency. The fourth is to promote the comprehensive and strict governance of the Party towards deeper development. We will coordinate and strengthen the political construction, ideological construction, organizational construction, work style construction, discipline construction, and institutional construction of the Communist Party of China. We will rectify and create a good work style, continuously improve the comprehensive effectiveness of the "three non corruption" policy, strengthen the spiritual forging and ability training of the drug supervision cadre team, and lead the high-quality development of the drug supervision industry with high-quality party building.
