The largest natural science themed museum in Asia, the China Museum of Paleontology (Baoding Natural History Museum), officially opened to the public on January 3rd. On the occasion of the arrival of the New Year in 2024 and the 10th anniversary of the coordinated development of the Beijing Tianjin Hebei region, the museum has launched a new large-scale exhibition with the theme of "nature, life, and human" and the main theme of "evolution", presenting the long history of life evolution on Earth for 3.8 billion years, which has attracted much attention. The China Palaeontology Museum (Baoding Natural Museum) was jointly built by the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology) and the Baoding Municipal People's Government, with a total floor area of about 73100 square meters. The exhibition currently launched has a number of themed exhibition halls, such as "Earth Pulsation", "Ancient Ocean", "Dinosaur Empire", "Mammalism", "War of Extinction", etc. The exhibition hall takes natural resources such as paleontological fossils, living animals, rocks, minerals, and other natural resources as carriers, integrates science and interest, and systematically popularizes geoscience knowledge, the origin and evolution of life, and the concept of ecological protection.
