Shenzhen and Hong Kong took the lead in launching a civil servant exchange and cooperation project. 10 Hong Kong civil servants went to Shenzhen for a 3-month exchange program

On the afternoon of December 18th, the launch ceremony of the civil service exchange and cooperation project between Shenzhen, Guangdong and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was held in Qianhai, Shenzhen. 10 middle and senior civil servants from the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government will be dispatched to relevant government departments and statutory institutions in Futian District and Qianhai District of Shenzhen for a period of 3 months of exchange and cooperation. As an important task of the Shenzhen Hong Kong Cooperation Special Task Force, this exchange and cooperation project aims to promote exchanges between the two regions to the best of our ability. It is the first civil service exchange project between the mainland and Hong Kong since the resumption of customs clearance, and an important measure to implement the Guangdong Hong Kong Agreement on Civil Service Exchange and Cooperation Projects between Mainland Greater Bay Area Cities and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It is understood that the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government has selected 10 Hong Kong middle and senior civil servants from different departments, including administrative officers, administrative officers, engineers, urban planners, environmental protection officers, and information technology system managers, with rich professional knowledge and experience. Starting from mid December, they will conduct on-site exchange and learning in various fields such as regional governance, technological development, urban planning, transportation, and environmental protection in Shenzhen for three months. Dai Liko, a senior engineer from the Transport Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, will be visiting the Futian Management Bureau of the Shenzhen Transport Bureau for exchange and learning. "I am mainly responsible for transportation strategy research in Hong Kong, one of which is to promote closer connections between Hong Kong and mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area, including strengthening transportation infrastructure construction and promoting the connectivity of transportation services between the two regions. I believe that in this exchange and learning, I can leverage my unique advantages and do my best to promote exchanges between the two regions." Zhou Darong, Assistant Commissioner for Civil Affairs at the Sai Kung Civil Affairs Office of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, is mainly responsible for regional governance, community development, and other work. He will be serving as the Deputy District Chief's Special Assistant at the Futian District Government this time. "I am looking forward to this exchange and learning journey. More than 10 years ago, I interned in Beijing for half a year and was deeply impressed by the country's development achievements. Now that the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area is thriving, the SAR government is also accelerating the development of the northern metropolitan area. I will do a good job in relevant liaison work during this exchange process to promote mutual understanding between the two regions." The first batch of 10 Hong Kong civil servants came to Shenzhen for about three months of exchange, marking the official implementation of the civil servant exchange and cooperation project between mainland Greater Bay Area cities and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The deep exchange and cooperation between Guangdong and Hong Kong civil servants has entered a new stage. It is understood that since 2002, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and mainland provinces and cities have jointly launched the "Civil Servant Exchange Program", and Guangdong Province also participated in it from 2005 to 2013. In September of this year, Guangdong and Hong Kong signed the "Agreement on the Exchange and Cooperation Project for Civil Servants in Mainland China's Greater Bay Area Cities and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region", which carried out exchanges between civil servants in mainland China's Greater Bay Area cities and Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The exchange period was extended from the past four weeks to three months, providing Hong Kong civil servants with the opportunity to temporarily stay in mainland China for a long time to exchange ideas and deeply experience the development of mainland cities and the work of the resident government in the Greater Bay Area. Shenzhen is the first mainland city in the Greater Bay Area to participate in the exchange program. The exchange between Shenzhen and Hong Kong has a profound foundation. Cheng Bu, member of the Standing Committee of the Shenzhen Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Organization Department
