The reporter learned from the First Academy of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation that this is the first time that the Jielong 3 has successfully carried out an application launch mission after its maiden flight, marking the beginning of the application launch of the modified rocket. The Jielong 3 carrier rocket was developed by the First Academy and invested by China Long March Rocket Co., Ltd. It is reported that this is the first time China has carried out a long-distance mobile launch mission at sea. The launch ship departed from Dongfang Space Port in Yantai, Shandong, taking 5 and a half days and traveling over 1300 nautical miles. Jin Xin, the commander-in-chief of Yiyuan Jielong 3, stated that the rocket has the ability to transport in level 4 sea conditions and has strong environmental adaptability. This launch has verified the rocket's long-range mobile launch capability at sea and improved its mission adaptability. According to Guan Hongren, the chief designer of Yiyuan Jielong III, after the successful maiden flight of the rocket, the development team carried out mission free design of the rocket body, rapid integration design of the satellite rocket interface, and optimization of the launch process. At present, the rocket has the conditions for mass assembly of the rocket body, greatly reducing the task response time and further compressing the performance cycle. It can adapt to the complex and variable characteristics of commercial satellite launch missions and meet future high-frequency launch needs.
