Along with it, the training industry for psychological counselors has also become popular, and many training institutions have seen business opportunities from it. According to data from query platforms, there are over 160000 enterprises in China that include psychological counseling in their business scope. However, a reporter from Rule of Law Daily recently found that some psychological counseling platforms and institutions often charge thousands or even tens of thousands of yuan, but the level of counselors varies. Although it is a non admission profession, the training certificate for psychological counselors is packaged as a "professional qualification certificate" by some institutions. Some institutions claim that as long as the class hours are completed, it only takes a few months to obtain a certificate to work as a psychological counselor. Multiple industry insiders interviewed have pointed out that psychological counseling is a helpful industry that involves psychological changes and behavioral interventions, requiring high admission standards and a longer vocational training process to achieve certain competencies. The training qualification certificate obtained by "quick success" has limited probative power in terms of professional qualifications. It is unrealistic to rely solely on a certificate with a high passing rate to find a job with superior salary in the industry. Relevant departments must promptly introduce standards for professional admission, professional training, and ethical supervision of psychological counselors to promote the healthy development of the industry. Journalists who have participated in the training and certification of psychological counselors in Beijing, Shandong, Hunan and other places have learned that some of them are psychology enthusiasts and some have career development needs. Some training institutions have reserved some places for non professional registrations, and the length of class learning offered varies, mostly ranging from 3 to 6 months. Ms. Zhang from Shandong is a psychology enthusiast. She found that in recent years, many psychological platforms and training institutions in China have launched a series of "psychological counselor" training courses. Open an app and you can hear advertisements for applying for a psychological counselor; computer websites often pop up advertisements for 'secretly taking a psychological counselor'. Ms. Zhang said that because she had searched for relevant information, training institutions called every day to promote training courses and certification services for psychological counselors, which annoyed her. Ms. Sun, who previously worked at an off campus English tutoring agency in Beijing, was required to attend lectures for parents on how to overcome family anxiety and bring positive emotional experiences to children based on the job responsibilities. She also needed to be admitted to a psychological counselor. In fact, everyone who goes to take the exam knows that this certificate is very 'watery' and can be said to pass it 100%. After taking the exam, going to a parent's lecture would make me more professional. However, Ms. Li from Hebei did not easily pass the exam, let alone pass the exam, and even the early training was "pitted". Previously, taking the Psychological Counselor Certificate required a corresponding major, but now there is no threshold, so I applied. Ms. Li first paid over 7000 yuan in the first training institution, and the other party promised to receive the certificate and assign work. However, after studying for a period of time, the institution went bankrupt.
