Quanzhou is an important ancestral home of Taiwanese people. Currently, there are nearly 160000 Taiwanese owned enterprises and over 2300 Taiwanese funded enterprises in the city. In order to address the medical security concerns of Taiwanese residents living, working, and studying in mainland China, the Quanzhou Taiwanese Investment Zone Taiwanese Medical Insurance Service Center and Quanzhou Medical Security Fund Management Center Taiwanese Medical Insurance Service Center were established in July 2020. In recent years, Quanzhou has actively explored a new path of cross-strait integration and development, continuously introduced multiple preferential policies for Taiwan in areas such as industrial integration, cultural exchange, and implementation of equal treatment, and deepened exchanges and cooperation in various fields between Quanzhou and Taiwan.
